ISLAMABAD: NEPRA has greenlit a positive quarterly adjustment of up to 50 paisa/unit for Q1 FY26 (July–Sep 2025), enabling DISCOs and K-Electric to claw back Rs8.41 billion from consumers, following a November 6 hearing on CPPA-G petitions.
Under Section 31(7)(ii) NEPRA Act, the QTA recalibrates capacity, transmission, O&M, and T&D loss impacts on FCAs. DISCOs (ex-HESCO, PESCO, TESCO) demanded Rs21.702 billion, offset by Rs13.292 billion negative adjustments (O&M, UoSC, MoF, T&D-FCA).
Breakdown:
Uniform QTA extends to K-Electric per government policy. Impact hits Dec 2025–Feb 2026 bills, replacing Rs1.80/unit negative relief. NEPRA finalizes post-hearing review.
