FIA Books 22 Over Alleged Fake Apostille Network In Islamabad

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has claimed to have uncovered an alleged network involved in producing and using counterfeit apostille stickers and official stamps, with 22 suspects booked in the case, including six officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).

The action was carried out by the FIA’s Anti-Corruption Circle (ACC) Islamabad, which conducted raids at several consultancy and courier offices operating from the basement of F&F Plaza in Aabpara, according to an FIA official.

The agency said the raids were conducted after receiving information from reliable sources.

The FIA has registered case No. 48/2026 against 22 suspects under Sections 420, 468, 471 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code, along with Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947.

According to the investigation, 16 private individuals have been linked to Sofi Consultants, Excellent Courier Service (ECS), Leopards Courier Services at F&F Plaza, RAAK Consultancy, Noon Consultants (Pvt) Ltd, GM Consultants and Fair Line Service.

Six MOFA officials, including personnel connected with document attestation and apostille services, have also been named in the case over their alleged involvement in the network.

The FIA alleges that the network was engaged in preparing and using fake apostille stickers and counterfeit official stamps.
