The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Quetta, has successfully intercepted smuggled consignments valued at Rs183.23 million through a sequence of intelligence-led enforcement operations carried out in Quetta and Mangochar, District Kalat, in close coordination with the Intelligence Bureau and the Frontier Corps.
Officials confirmed that the confiscated items comprised foreign-origin betel nuts, cigarettes, tyres, textiles, and computer servers, all unlawfully introduced into the country. The tentative CIF valuation of the seized goods has been calculated at Rs183.23 million, reflecting a significant blow to illicit trade networks.
Authorities stated that the actions were initiated on the basis of credible and actionable intelligence, underscoring the government’s resolve to dismantle smuggling channels operating across Balochistan. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reiterated its commitment to sustained enforcement measures to uphold statutory compliance, safeguard lawful commerce, and protect Pakistan’s economic interests.
