FBR Extends Office Hours Before Fiscal Year-End

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued directives to all field formations nationwide to remain fully operational during regular office hours on June 27 and 28, 2026, as part of efforts to facilitate the collection of government revenues ahead of the fiscal year-end.

According to an official notification released on Friday, the tax authority has further instructed its field offices to observe extended working hours on June 29 and 30, 2026, to ensure the timely receipt and processing of duties, taxes, and other government revenues before the conclusion of the current financial year.

The move is aimed at maximizing revenue collection and enabling taxpayers to complete pending tax payments and compliance requirements within the prescribed deadline.

The directive applies to all operational formations of the FBR across Pakistan, including Large Taxpayers’ Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayers’ Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs).

Taxpayers and businesses are advised to make use of the extended office timings to settle outstanding tax liabilities and fulfill compliance obligations before the close of Fiscal Year 2025-26.
