Pakistan Auto Sales Jump 41.7% in February

KARACHI, March 10, 2026: Pakistan’s automotive market maintained robust activity in February 2026, with total car, LCV, van, and jeep sales rising 41.7% year-on-year to 17,121 units, compared to 12,084 units in February 2025, according to data from the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA).

On a month-on-month basis, however, sales declined 25.7% from January 2026, which saw 23,055 units sold. Cumulatively, for the first eight months of FY2026, total vehicle sales reached 128,489 units, marking a 43.2% increase over 89,729 units during the same period last year.

Production in February 2026 stood at 157,543 units, slightly below total sales of 159,512 units, signaling strong market absorption. Toyota Pakistan led the 1300cc+ segment, producing 2,846 units of Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla Cross models versus 2,074 units a year prior, with sales exceeding production at 3,102 units, reflecting sustained demand.

Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan maintained steady performance with 1,938 units of Civic and City models produced, a marginal increase over February 2025, and sales of 1,861 units. Suzuki Pakistan reported strong output for its Swift, producing 1,467 units versus 633 units last year, and 506 units of the Cultus, while the WagonR remained discontinued.

The jeep and pickup segment produced 3,318 units in February 2026, compared with 3,074 units in February 2025, while sales surpassed production at 3,733 units. The motorcycle and three-wheeler segments continued as the backbone of Pakistan’s automotive industry, collectively accounting for over 157,000 units produced and sold in February, reinforcing their dominant role in the market.
