K-Electric Appoints Syed Taha As New CEO

K-Electric Limited has formally appointed Syed Taha as its Chief Executive Officer, replacing interim CEO Adeeb Ahmad, with effect from April 15, 2026, as disclosed in a notification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

As per the official communication, the decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors and subsequently notified to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Syed Taha is currently serving as Managing Director and CEO of Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, a position he has held since February 2020.

Prior to his tenure at PSO, he served as Executive Director at Oasis Energy, where he led the Programme Management Office for the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company in Nigeria.

He has also previously held the position of Chief Distribution Officer at K-Electric Limited, in addition to occupying senior leadership roles across various organisations.

Syed Taha holds an engineering qualification along with an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration.

This appointment signifies a key leadership transition within K-Electric, with the incoming CEO scheduled to assume responsibilities effective mid-April 2026.
