Petrol Hits Rs377.91, Diesel Reaches Rs399.82 Per Litre

Government Raises Petrol and Diesel Prices from October 29

ISLAMABAD: The government has increased petrol prices by Rs1.85 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.75, bringing their new rates to Rs377.91 and Rs399.82 per litre, respectively, effective October 29, 2026.

According to the Petroleum Division, petrol prices have increased from Rs376.06 to Rs377.91 per litre, while diesel has risen from Rs398.07 to Rs399.82 per litre.

The latest adjustment is expected to increase fuel expenses for households, commuters and businesses already dealing with high transportation and operating costs.

The rise in diesel prices could further increase freight charges and public transport expenses, potentially adding to the cost of goods and services as businesses face higher fuel-related expenditures.

The Petroleum Division said the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices under the federal government's petroleum pricing mechanism.

The division attributed the changes to international market developments, including fluctuations in Platts rates, premiums and other incidental charges.
