FBR Penalises Gerry’s Dnata Over Customs Clearance Fraud

The district administration in Hub has officially fixed the retail price of Iranian petrol at ₨250 per litre throughout the district as part of administrative measures aimed at regulating fuel pricing and preventing profiteering practices within the local market.

According to government officials, Jumma Dad Khan Mandokhail, Deputy Commissioner Hub, took notice of reports alleging unjustified increases in the price of Iranian petrol by dealers and traders engaged in cross-border fuel trade activities.

Following administrative review, the district authorities announced that strict enforcement action would be initiated against individuals or businesses involved in overpricing, hoarding, or other profiteering practices relating to the sale of Iranian fuel products.

The deputy commissioner stated that the government had allowed the trade and distribution of Iranian petrol primarily to facilitate relief for consumers and warned that no individual, group, or cartel would be permitted to manipulate market prices through artificial shortages or unreasonable increases.

Officials further stated that the notified pricing mechanism would remain applicable across the entire district and that monitoring and compliance measures would be implemented to ensure enforcement of the prescribed retail rate.
