FBR Revises Property Valuations in Abbottabad and Rural Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has updated its valuation framework for immovable properties in Abbottabad and rural areas of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), introducing revised residential and commercial property rates for Abbottabad while linking rural Islamabad valuations to the latest rates notified by the district collector.

The changes were announced on November 5, 2026, under Section 68(4) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, through two separate statutory regulatory orders.

Under SRO 2060(I)/2026, the FBR has introduced new fair market valuations for residential and commercial open plots in 25 specified locations across Abbottabad. The new schedule replaces the rates previously notified through SRO 1679(I)/2024 on October 29, 2024.
